Overview
With a collapse of federal funding less than two weeks before Mother’s Day, edesia needed help creating a lightning-fast marketing campaign.
Just before Mother’s Day, the United States government announced it was all but shutting down USAID—the humanitarian program that brought food, medicine, and much, much more to needy people around the world.
This shut down the production lines at edesia, makers of ready-to-eat therapeutic food (aka Plumpy’Nut). One box of Plumpy’Nut takes a child from hours-away-from-death to full, healthy weight.
In under two weeks, we designed a campaign, created a strategically targeted list of potential donors, and sent out emails that exceeded industry benchmarks for open rates (over 100%) and click-throughs (over 600%).
Soon edesia’s factory was humming again, stepping up to save children instead of allowing them to starve.
